Where can I find popular authors/books of different countries?

In the US I could look at the NYTimes best seller list, but in English, where can I find lists of other countries’ top selling books (currently) rather than of all time.

Well, here’s a thought: since the NY Times compiles such a list for the US, what about checking the on-line edition of the major world cities’ newspapers, and look on their index for “reviews” or “books.” Let us know how you make out. I’m curious to know what you want them for? Bookstore? Library? Your own insatiable curiosity?
